Self-Check: Three Steps to Pinpoint the Problem

When you hit "connected but can't watch," run this three-step self-check:

  1. Check exit IP: Visit the IP lookup page and confirm whether the exit IP's location matches your target content library. If the IP shows a data center, the route uses a data center IP and the unblock success rate is low.
  2. Check DNS: Confirm whether DNS resolution is polluted. Set DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 and test again.
  3. Test per app: If the browser works but the app doesn't, it may be an app cache or region setting issue. Clear the app cache and log back in.

These three steps cover 90% of common issues. If you still fail after these, refer back to the error code handling in the previous chapter.

FAQ

Why can't I watch Netflix even though I'm connected to a route?

The most common reason is the route's IP type. If the route uses a data center IP, Netflix triggers proxy detection and reports M7111-5059. Switching to a native IP or IPLC dedicated line route usually fixes it.

Another reason is that the account region doesn't match the exit IP. Check your account's registration region and make sure it matches the target route's region.

Why does 4K stutter even though a speed test shows enough bandwidth?

Peak bandwidth doesn't represent actual available bandwidth. During peak hours, route load increases and actual available bandwidth drops significantly. Choose a low-load route or an IPLC dedicated line.

Also, device decoding capability can affect playback. If the device doesn't support 4K Dolby Vision, the quality automatically downgrades.

Why does Disney+ fail to unblock while Netflix works?

Different platforms have different detection mechanisms. Disney+ is stricter about IP region than Netflix, or the route's IP has been flagged by Disney+. Switch to a route that matches your account region and try a native IP route.

How is bandwidth allocated when multiple devices are used at the same time?
