FAQ
Here you'll find answers to common questions across four categories: Accounts & Subscriptions, Connection & Troubleshooting, Speed & Servers, and Billing & Refunds. If you can't find what you're looking for, contact support through the ticket system in the user panel.
Accounts & Subscriptions
5 itemsCommon questions about registration and getting or updating your subscription link.
Do I need to provide an email address to sign up for VPNCU?
No. VPNCU registration only requires a username and password — no email address needed. Just set your username and password, and the system generates a dedicated subscription link. The link itself serves as your account credential, so keep it as safe as a password and don't share it with anyone.
How do I get my subscription link after registering?
After logging into the user panel, go to the "Overview" or "Downloads" page to see your subscription link. The client supports one-click import of subscription links — copy the link and paste it into the client to complete the setup. If the link is long, use the copy button in the client to avoid manual entry errors.
How do I update my subscription link after it expires or changes?
When your plan renews, upgrades, or data resets, your subscription link may change. Updating is simple: log into the user panel, copy the latest subscription link, then in the client delete the old subscription and import the new link. Some clients have an "Update Subscription" button that automatically fetches the latest configuration.
Do I need to buy again when switching devices?
No. VPNCU has no device limit — the same account can be used on multiple devices simultaneously, supporting Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. When switching devices, just install the client on the new device, log in with the same account, and import the subscription link. No extra charge.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click "Forgot Password" on the login page and follow the prompts to reset it using the username you set during registration. Since registration is not tied to an email, be sure to remember your username. If you can't reset it yourself, contact support through the ticket system in the user panel.
Connection & Troubleshooting
5 itemsTroubleshooting for connection failures, drops, and apps not using the proxy.
What if I can't connect to a server?
First make sure your internet connection is working, then try switching to a different server. If you still can't connect, try these steps: 1) Restart the client; 2) Update the subscription link in the client; 3) Check whether your firewall or security software is blocking the client; 4) Try a different network, such as switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data.
Why doesn't a certain app use the proxy?
Some apps don't follow system proxy settings or use custom network policies. To fix this: 1) Enable "Global Mode" or "TUN Mode" in the client so all traffic goes through the accelerated channel; 2) Check whether the app has its own proxy settings; 3) Make sure the app isn't being forced to connect directly by the system or security software.
What if web pages won't load or the connection keeps dropping after connecting?
This is usually caused by high server load or an unstable local network. We suggest: 1) Switch to another server, especially a dedicated line with lower load; 2) Check whether your local network is stable and try restarting your router; 3) Adjust the protocol or port settings in the client; 4) If the problem persists, contact support for recommendations on currently available servers.
The client says "Subscription Expired" but my plan is still active?
This is usually because the subscription link hasn't been updated in time. Log into the user panel, copy the latest subscription link, and re-import it in the client. If it still says expired after updating, check that you're logged into the correct account, or contact support through the ticket system to verify your plan status.
Why does the connection keep dropping on iOS/Android?
Power-saving settings on mobile devices can restrict background network activity and cause disconnections. We suggest: 1) Turn off "Battery Optimization" or "Background Restrictions" for the app in system settings; 2) Keep the client running in the foreground or enable the "Keep Connected" feature; 3) Check whether "Low Power Mode" is enabled; 4) Update the client to the latest version.
Speed & Servers
4 itemsExplanations of peak-hour lag, server selection, bandwidth needs, and server types.
What if speed slows down during peak hours?
Peak hours are typically when cross-border network usage is highest, and some servers may become congested. We suggest: 1) Switch to a dedicated or relay line, which are more stable during peak times; 2) Choose an access point closer to your location; 3) Enable the "Smart Select Fastest Server" feature in the client; 4) If you have enough data, try comparing speeds across multiple servers.
How do I choose a server?
Server selection depends on your use case. For streaming, prioritize servers in the target region — for example, choose a Los Angeles server for US content. For AI tools, choose a low-latency server in the corresponding region. For everyday browsing, a nearby server works fine. VPNCU covers 110+ countries / 240+ servers, and you can filter by region or server type in the client, or enable smart selection.
How much bandwidth do I need for 4K streaming?
4K streaming typically requires a stable bandwidth of 25Mbps or higher, along with low latency and minimal jitter. VPNCU's dedicated lines maintain high bandwidth even during peak hours, and with monthly data plans starting at 60GB, they can meet most streaming needs. We recommend prioritizing dedicated lines in your target region.
What's the difference between server types?
The three server types differ mainly in transmission path and stability. IEPL dedicated lines are point-to-point, offering low latency and the highest stability — ideal for latency-sensitive scenarios. Relay lines forward traffic through intermediate nodes, balancing speed and availability for everyday use. Direct lines connect straight to the target region, with good speed but possible fluctuations during peak hours. The client labels each server type so you can choose accordingly.
Billing & Refunds
5 itemsExplanations of data calculation, data pack validity, refund process, and payment methods.
How is plan data calculated?
Monthly subscription plans include a fixed data allowance in three tiers: 60GB / 250GB / 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date. Unused data does not roll over to the next month. Data packs are deducted based on actual usage and never expire. You can check used and remaining data anytime in the user panel.
Do data packs expire?
No. Data packs are valid permanently and last until used up. After you purchase a data pack, when your monthly plan data runs out, the system will automatically use the data pack first. Data packs are ideal for users with high data needs — buy once and use for a long time without worrying about data being reset.
How do I request a refund?
VPNCU offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the service, submit a refund request through the ticket system in the user panel. Once approved, the refund will be returned to your original payment method. The refund policy applies to first-time purchases; renewal orders are subject to the rules on the terms page.
What payment methods are supported?
Currently we support Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. You can choose any of these to complete your order. Once payment is done, your plan is activated immediately and the subscription link goes live. If you run into payment issues, try switching payment methods on the checkout page or contact support through the ticket system.
How is the price difference calculated when upgrading?
When upgrading mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on remaining days. For example, if your current plan has 15 days left, the system calculates the difference for those remaining days when you upgrade to a higher tier, and you just pay the difference to complete the upgrade. After upgrading, data is recalculated according to the new plan, starting from the effective date of the upgrade.
